Brainard also produces Hex Weld nuts. Brainard Rivet Company was founded in 1916 to manufacture fasteners for the hoops on wooden kegs and continues to supply various items to the Wine & Barrel Industries. Our product line has diversified into the Tractors /Farm Machinery market, fasteners for Railroad Cars, rivets for Automobile/Truck frames, the Furniture Industry, Recreational Vehicles and the General Metal Working Industries. Our large diameter drilled products supply the Pole Line Hardware Industry. Since the 1990’s, various Distributers rely upon Brainard for special one-of-a-kind fasteners to fill their diverse requirements. Brainard utilizes Single and Double-Blow Headers, along with progressive machines up to Five-Dies-Five-Blows. Cold headed manufacturing offers quicker set-up and order turnaround; less scrap with longer tool life. Wire drawers located at each heading station greatly reduce raw material requirements. Most tooling required for manufacturing is crafted on-site. Additional in-house processes are: drilling, grooving, shaving, threading and knurling. Various in-house heat-treat options are also available. When required, parts are cleaned with organic material in non-polluting units. All of which leads to lower costs and faster lead-times. Quality is built into every process. Backed by both ISO and TS certification, dimensional or process checks are performed at each operation. State-of-the-art simulation software engineering enhances tooling life and efficiency. Customer orders large or small are given individualized attention during our daily production briefing. New developments are also reviewed with the management team. Total Customer Satisfaction, Quality and On-Time Delivery remain the hallmark at Brainard Rivet Company.

There are many exciting and innovative plans in place for the Cardinal school district including: enhanced classroom technology, website upgrades, and improved class offerings. Couple these enhancements with our all day, every day Kindergarten classes, bussing for high school students, and the reintroduction of band, music, and choir and it’s clear, positive transformation is already underway in Cardinal schools. We have 650 chromebooks district wide and starting with the 2015-16 school year, the high school will feature a 1:1 iPad rollout program, where every student will have an iPad for classroom learning. These improvements will only increase the value of a Cardinal Local Schools diploma while continuing to set our school, students, and staff apart in the years to come! What’s inside? Huskie Pride! Cardinal High School CHS houses grades 9-12 with an average enrollment of 450 students. Block scheduling, 30 hours of college credit plus courses from Lakeland Community College and The Ohio State University, and a state of the art distance learning classroom all help provide a quality educational experience. Cardinal Middle School CMS houses the school district’s 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, grade students and averages an enrollment of 390 students. CMS is a comprehensive model middle school program focusing on college and career readiness. Students in every classroom have access to iPads thanks to monies received through the Straight A Grant.
